The T-shirt designs was one of my favorite projects I ever made in art. I got to use the airbrush which I had a blast with!!! Using the airbrush was actually a little more difficult than I thought. I didn't realize you could do so many different things with the paint, based on the the way you held it, pressure allowed, and how much paint you spray. I will always keep this shirt in my possession no matter what. :)
I did not even attempt to make a watercolor art piece. It's not that I don't think I could complete it, its just I enjoyed working on the mural more. I would really like to see the mural to be completed the year of 2020 but I guess we will see ;)
So for the clay portion, I decided to make a alien creature named Gorgon. Sadly, Gorgon did not survive :( Clay creation has never really been one of my strong suits. I enjoy clay though. So instead I decided to work on the mural. The mural was fun to work on, even though it still isn't finished.
I've always been found of art. When I lived in Texas, I was in art for three years. So before high school, I had some experience in art class. I would really liked to have taken art for four year, but that is just the way the crumble cookies.
I learned that drawing something as simple as a rope can be extremely difficult. It just goes to show how the simplest things in life can really be more complicated than we humans believe. For this project I choose four words. Energetic, exciting, hysterical, and impatient. I choose these four words, because I feel no other words describe me better than these four. I drew them the way I did, because that's the way the words make me feel. It might not really seem like it, but quote a bit of emotion went into my drawings. I am really looking forward to this class next semester. I can't wait to use clay, and possibly even learn how to use the air brush. I can honestly say this is my favorite class I have and can't wait until next semester and do all of the fun assignment we will have :) I would have to say this is my most favorite piece The Great Van-go ever painted. I spent the most time on this painting, then I have on any other project. I really like the way this final piece turned out, and I wouldn't change a single thing about this piece. If I was to give myself a grade on this piece, I would give myself a 99/100. It's almost perfect, but there are just a few areas I messed up on. But overall I am very pleased with the way the rose came out.
For my portrait I drew Will Smith. But unfortunately I could not find Will Smith. But I will not talk about the creative process behind the creation of Will Smith. Drawing human faces is EXTREMELY difficult. If one thing is unportional the whole drawing looks messed up. But the hardest part of Will to draw was his hairline. One of the most difficult things I had to draw in Art II all year long.
For my border assignment I choose my first initial in cursive. I choose this because you can create a lot of creative designs and concepts that go along with the letter. Ill talk about a few of the designs i made. I choose a baseball because my life revolves around baseball all year. I choose the black and white pattern, because i like to shade and the contrast between them looks pretty cool.
If I could change anything I might change up a few of the designs. But other than that, that's about it. For my reinvented letter i didn't really make a letter. I made a rubik's cube. This rubik's cube was extremely difficult to make. If every square wasn't equal and the same size, it would look off putting and it wouldn't look good. I enjoyed making the cube and it was fun to make, but at the same time it was very difficult.
I learned from this project is that squares suck to draw and make proportional. coloring so that the colors flowed was also a little challenging. This project was fun though and i enjoued making it. |
